Preferred Gaskets for the following services 1. SO2 (High Operating temperature -400 °C) 2. SO2 (Low Operating temperature -80 °C) 3. Liquid Sulfur (100-135 °C temperature) 4. Sulphuric Acid (75-100 °C) 5. High Pressure Steam (Superheated 37 Barg & 370-380 °C)

The preference can be determined by using the piping standards documentation applicable to the facility where the installation is, or is due to take place.

The compatibility between the fluids and the gasket materials can be ascertained by using any number of corrosion compatibility charts, of which here is one (not an endorsement - other corrosion compatibility databases are available).

There is no such thing as -400ºC.
