	on what basis does a company decides to use a couplins is what i wanna know and if possible send a catalogue showing howthe coupling is decided

	The two basic things are do you want a coupling for misalignment purposes or for torsional vibration damping purposes. Then you use the coupling companies selection software. The sales people will explain this also. __________________ If it eats, it's going to be trouble!
