There's a patent on this, I believe, where you can read it all.

The process for making these tiny balls is essentially the same as for the manufacture of larger ball bearing. A small piece of the raw material is formed in a press to the approximate size of the finished ball. The balls are fed between two counter rotating discs that use fine abrasives and polishing compounds to bring the balls to size and the desired surface finish.

You would have to either purchase the technology or license it.

Starting from scratch would entail a large expenditure of R&D funds.

Hi, there was a similar question only a few days ago where I posted what follows:

Hi,

do you really want to build such a machine and use it for commercial steelball manufacturing?

Then you should secure help (ideas and money)from industry because this is not a small task.

And you should first buy and analyze a used machine of this type.

And you should decide at which diameter to start with.

I saw these machines for balls as small as 0.3mm and as big as 30mm so there are big diffrerences.

And you will have to design a compete street of many different machines:

1. the cutter and cold-former

2. the ring puncher that is removing the "Saturn-ring".

3. the soft grinder

4. the hardening oven

5. three stages of hard grinder

6. cleaner

7. sorter

8. packing

All of this is not a simple task.

So if you want to start this business in Egypt I would recommend to buy a complete plant.

If you want to design such a machine you should dig into the fundamentals and necessities of precision machining, machine errors, vibration in machines, thermal distortions.

If you have done this ask some precise questions and I will help you.

If you want to buy one of the processes or a complete factory, please conact me .

I can guide you through this complicated decision and process.

Have said me that in egypt there is a plant to sell. Can you guide me about this plant. If they have no problem to sell that whole plant then give whole details and approximate pricing of it. Thanks for your support. Waiting for your reply Nitin Patel
