HT Panel compartments numbering?

11/16/2007 8:57 AM

Hi all,

In one of my recent projects, as per the schematic drawing provided by the consultants, HT service is through "5 panel HT Switch Board". But as per the scheme, the panel has got only 4 switches, 1 I/C & 3 O/G. All these days i was under the impression that the no. 5 denotes no. of switches/breakers. Can some ine clarrify me on this??

Some HT boards will have the same number of panels as that of number switches/breakers.Some HT panels will have more number of panels to accommodate relays and meters etc.or to have Busbar adjustments in case of Buscouplers This will vary from Project to Project and Manufacturer to manufacturer.

Generally the GA drawings will indicate the panel numbers and the components that go into each panel. One has to go through these drawings very carefully.
