You are describing a sawdust burning co-generation plant

Are you extracting the oil for making biodiesel?

no I am using Jatropha seed as a fuel for a small bioler to produce steam for a turbine as we do not have a transesterification unit yet biodiesel is our next step once we have more finance

no not yet, we have 12,000 hectres of Jatropha under cultivation, but we need the power now between .5 and 2mw

Communicate with9tell them what range MW you are in market for :

Small Boiler Makers

Small Turbine makers

Small Generator makers

And co-ordinate between the 3.

If you cannot get very far--or lose control--or one breaks out-or you are sick and tired":

Then look for a dealer who handles Used Steam Power Plant and will offer you a Just Closed small Steam Power Plant -- so many MW.

AND GET A BOILER consultant to see if the grate and burner system can be re-engineered to take in Biomass.See if Oxygen enriching will improve overall efficiency. Then look for PSA oxygen package.

Next --what is your available biomass?

Jatropha is too good to burn. That is almost Diesel oil. MAy be Municipal Waste+ Coal

we do not want a second hand unit. we have 12,000 hectres of Jatropha under cultivation but we need the power now .5 to 2mw the production of bio diesel will come later

Look. the idea behind biodeisel is the use of otherwise garbage products being harvested for use. You haveto sart with trash, otherwise you end up with te perverse situation we have in the USA - burning whiskey. Nothing wrong with whiskey, mind you, but there is no point in fertilizing, plowing, cultivating, and harvesting grain with the purpose of mashing, fermenting, and distilling it into a combustible product ("whiskey") and then burning it.

The only way to make the books balance on this is to allow for major government subsidies ("theft") .Methanol (produced from timber slash) or compost slides makes much more sense, but does not require the massive capitol investments that the internationalbanks seem to like. Remember Mad Max - It runs on chicken shit.

Actually biodiesel can be made from WVO [waste vegetable oil] . Japotra requires very little water & grows on land unsuitable for much else.

most ethanol in the US is made from corn, which is the perverse situation you describe

Wartsila Finland bought a biomass CHP company if my memory is OK. It might be one of those sawdust mills though as Finland is one of the largest wood products producers in the world >>>> but they chip the wood since their trees on average are 30-40 cm diameter only due to short growing season. But they have ba-gillions of those little twigs! Not too many of those 2-3 m diameter trees you see in other countries with long growing seasons and fertile soil with water.

where can I find a boiler, steam turbine/generator which will run on biomass as a fuel {jatropha seed}

One hell of a question.

You can find boiler, steam turbine/generator all over the world in thousands.

First you must decide how much you want to generate .5 - 2mw is one hell of a variation too.

What is the calorific value of your jatropha seed? Have you calculated how much steam you need for your power requirement Vs how much tonnage of jatropha seed you require/hr? Do you forsee supply T/hr seed x 720 hrs/month x 12 months?

Come up with these calculation & availability and then we can look into the next part of finding a boiler/steam generator.

Please bear in mind that each Cr4 member is highly qualified to help you provided you are really serious and have worked hard on preliminary to look for solutions.

You hit such vivid questions without your own workings we'd not like to waste time in your homework.
