Why? How many people have a pool underground (as you wrote!!).

I guess what you really meant was that you have an underground leak in a pipe to or from a pool.....which pipe exactly are you asking about? Could be one of several. Usually you need to dig up a part of the pool to repair it......

Or are you going to organise a party for all these unhappy people to cheer them up in some way?

Not much info given, herein. Are you seeking people to try and Help, with a new concept in the repair of such lines? Or do you need ideas concerning how to go about fixing your own? I suppose we are to assume that you are referring to a leak in the plumbing system for an IN-ground pool. Concrete (shotcrete or gunite)? or fiberglass...?

"Suction-side" leaks (from drain or skimmer lines) usually manifest themselves by air bubbles appearing in the pump strainer basket. Leaks on the "Return-side" (pool jets, or inlets) manifest via fairly rapid water loss ... and sometimes soft, wet spot in yard!

There are numerous ways to pressure test each line and pinpoint a leak if it is, in fact, in the piping (and not the shell). Leaks from the shell, around fitting-bodies, are detected by food dye being CAREFULLY introduced at the leak point, and being "pushed out" by the water pressure (along with the leaking water).

Likewise, there are numerous ways to repair ("in-service") lines ... ("Google" for them). However, most quick repairs will only yield temporary results. Digging, and re-doing it right will produce the longest lived repair.

More info in your post would enable more specific responses.

HI,

Yes, I'm looking for people to help. My new Pipe Liner can go around multiple 90 degree bends and fix any 1-4 inch pipe that has a leak. You can simply just pull the liner through and use adhesive on both ends and presto, you have a new pipe within the old pipe. If anyone has a problem like this I would love to talk about any type of application.

Thanks for the help!

DWGEARDOWN

I have a water garden with a 2" underground PVC pipe from the pump to a waterfall. Over the winter, the pvc pipe has sprung a leak. It would be very destructive to the entire water garden to dig up even a portion of the line to fix the problem. I am looking for a solution whereby one tries to fix the problem by going inside the pipe. It sounds like your liner idea is just what I am looking for. The 2" PVC pipe is about 12' long with several 45 degree bends and a 90 degree bend. If you have information on how to do this repiar with a liner approach, I'm all ears.

I have a new pipe liner that can fix pipes underground without excavation and I'm looking for people who have these problems. For example, this liner can fix a main drain pipe in an underground pool without excavation.

Thanks and please email dwgearup@aol.com
