33 kV and 11 kV line sheet format

09/09/2022 7:36 AM

Dear sirs,

Can somebody please help me in getting 33 kV and 11 kV Structure Data sheet (SDS) and material data sheet (MDS) formats for distribution lines of 33 kV and 11kV?

Can somebody please help me with guidelines for the distribution line of 11 kV and 33 kV?

No idea of what a "Structure Data Sheet" might be.

For the MDSs you need to find out what the cables are made of: both conductor (copper or aluminium), and, insulator {say XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene) or EPR (Ethylene Propylene Rubber) or whatever} and any other components of the cable then look for the MDSs in Matweb:-

Yes. The cable vendors can. Get on the phone, and ask.

I assume you are talking about standard designs for structures supporting open lines, insulated for 11kV and 33kV.

You are looking for the details including Bill of Material for each structure, also pole spacing, ground clearance, road crossings & rail crossing design requirements. Also you need weather analysis and strength of materials required for the area you are in.

The best comprehensive reference available free for this type of data that I know of, written for the masses is the Rural Electrification Authority Design Manual, I’m sure quite dated by now, and aimed for low cost, and reliability. It is probably available as a free document from the US Government still, or a free download.

And if you don't mind spending some money to learn about these topics, check out the National Electric Safety Code:

https://standards.ieee.org/products-programs/nesc/

. . . not to be confused with the National Electric Code (NEC) also known as NFPA 70E.

There are different standards in countries that cover the material composition to be used for insulation; however, generally it's either rubber or PVC or a combination of both. Please check here for details about the material and technical outcome as per IS:15652 standard.
