Yes truly an awesome spectacle, the scale is hard to grasp until it starts getting close, then when the snow hits you in the face, the terror really hits home...that guy was lucky to have survived....

Yes, I got the same flashback! I can't believe how much that guy with the model rocket looks like Elon Musk, for a minute I thought it was him from his younger days testing his concept....haha

Well, the money was there. And I think he needed a physical and mental stimulus.

I’ve wonder if there was ever doubt or regret that he ever started the those ventures.

I don't think he doubts anything he does, even if it isn't successful. I'll bet that regret just isn't in his DNA. I do find humor in how well this "upstart" (SpaceX) has schooled NASA on how to get the job done.

I'm sure he's annoyed any number of entrenched bureaucrats in the NASA organization. I grew up in 60's and 70's and that was when NASA was an agile, aggressive organization with a mission. It's probably high time to take an axe to NASA and do substantial restructuring and get rid of all the dead wood.

For my younger self, one thing I didn’t want to say later in life was, ‘I Should of’.
i separated myself from the fence sitter and I did it,… looking back, some of the things,… challenges actually… I would have done different. But I wouldn’t call that should have… instead, I played the cards that were dealt.
