I Don't get the Humor

I've seen this car about once a year for several years now. The license plate seems like it has to be engineering humor. I've pushed around a few ones and zeros over the years, but I just don't get it. 0101101. Can anybody help?

I'm going to guess that a reference to the 45th president is probably what the license plate is referring to.

This is the DMV. Someone would have to spell it out for them. The plate holder could claim to be a fan of the M1911. Oh, wait. That would offend somebody too.

Ummmm . . . how about a fan of a certain malt liquor? That should be politically 'safe'.

A little Internet searching revealed any number of commemorative M1911's to its corresponding president.

I hadn't come across these before but I wasn't shocked to find them.

I liked my issue M1911 that I carried back in the early nineties in Korea. The M9 issued to me when I deployed for OEF just didn't feel like a real weapon. They are only useful for self-defense so I suppose it doesn't really matter either way. However in a vehicle in convoy, the M9 is easier to engage a target over an M-4 or M-16.

It's really simple the normal Binary number is 01011001 which is 8 Digits, however Florida only allows 7 Digits so our IT Whizz dropped an 0 to get 0101101 on his plate.

2D in Hex

And different in other number systems,so the meaning is even more muddled.
