Yes we have a huge hole at Kimberley in South Africa. (worked out diamond pipe).

There are quite a few more holes around, below and above us.

Then there are golf holes (some people find them in one shot).

And then there is the hole in the Ozone layer.

Black holes, green(s) holes . . . . .

If you could see your way clear to helping me out, please air freight me 1.2 meters of that hole. I want to plant a large Elm tree and don't feel like digging.

Thanks

I'm not really sure what your question is asking ..is it Philosophical or semantic?

A hole is a structure defined by it's surrounding material.
I believe my pillar drill has an ample supply.

I have studied those of the mouse and rabbit at length and conclude that either.
a) Holes do exist, or.
b) Mice and rabbits have mastered teleportation.

Hello newton200,

I see from the Forum area you placed your question, that you probably are referring to holes in semiconductor lattices.

The short answer is Yes, they do exist.

They are what is known as the "majority carrier" of electrical current in semiconductor applications.

Apart from that, worms, foxes, badgers, gophers, snakes, wild african dogs and many other creatures use such a facility, perhaps as mentioned by the brains-trust fellows above, for teleportation.

As far as I have been able to ascertain, elephants have not yet been known to inhabit holes, or use them for teleportation.

Wormholes as commonly used in Stargates, are a different kettle of fish, and warrant further special study.

Kind Regards....

To be pedantic, no. The word 'hole' is a privative, a name we give to something that doesn't exist. A hole is the absence of something. Another example is death. Death is a physical process, but for hundreds of years we have 'personified' death as a person. Death is also the absence of life, so in that respect is describing an absence of something.

My favorite is 'sober'. It describes someones personality, and the absence of alcohol....Happy new year!

As a GURU you should "know" that nothing "dies" it just takes a new form.

Everything has a half-life.

Can you have half of a whole?

No, no, no. This is all wrong. If you do an FFT on a hole, you will get a pole in the upper right quadrant. Put the pole in the hole, backfill & tamp, climb it, and drop a lighted ball, yelling "Happy New Year!"
