Electric Motor AEG OKO LAVAMAT

01/09/2008 10:15 AM

Does the drive motor for the above washing machine have a capacitor it sure behaves like it does on short cycles it does not start up as it should. How do I locate this in the body of the machine is the suppressor and the start capacitor the same thing.

I have spent many hours on this problem and always thought that the internet would produce the knowledge I need to repair this machine. The manufacturer is in hiding and appears reluctant to help, but I wont give up and buy a new machine, I might just give up!! Thanks for any help I will always remember and be grateful.

I had a similar problem a long time ago. (not AEG)

The capacitor was strapped to the corner of the box, just below the timer switch. and if I remember correctly it was wired to the switch.

My capacitor was OK but I had to replace the switch.

Not sure about your model.

Most electric appliances have the schematic on the inside of the back panel.
