Gyroscopes were never that handy. About 45 years ago the radio beacons of small countries were switched off during weekends. One day near Maun (Okavango delta) in Botswana I saw a American pilot who had it 180deg wrong. He did not had much fuel left and his chosen direction would have taken him over the Namib desert.

If you refer to Airplane, than gyros were never used to turn an airplane. these are the ailerons that do. Gyros usually do send signals of their respective and/or relative position in space to another controlling systems.
What actually do you want to know? Your question as put is unclear (to say it mildly.)
o.k. let me explain ...... gyroscope is a device which is used for tthe purpose of airoplane or a ship. as per my book of theory of machines from r. s. khurmi. so nowadays they are obsolete ....so i want to know what mechanism now they are using to take a turn for ship or airoplane?
