Hello JOHN F NASH

I have read your Topic, and would like to help you.

The problem is not one of age.

I would first encourage you to improve your English Language skills, because your Topic as posted would not presently get you a job in any English-speaking Country I know of.

In almost every Engineering Position I can think of, language skills are equally as valuable as Engineering skills.

The reasons are simple:

  1. If you are working on someone else's design, you need to fully understand all instructions.
  2. You also need to be able to give clear and specific instructions yourself.
  3. You also need to be able to form questions and answers clearly, so there is no confusion.
  4. You need to be careful and able to be in charge of tradesmen and others, who will understand what you say and do, and you will need to understand what they say and do.

If you are able to do that, and are also Technically capable, you should succeed.

Looking forward to your progress, advise here please.

Kind Regards....

English, as a foreign language, is by reputation easy to learn and difficult to master. Most individuals that are fluent in English will make allowances for a user that is less than fluent, because English can be distorted and abused while the meaning still comes through. The important thing is to practice, practice and practice. CR4 is very useful for this. Welcome!

I agree that speaking and writing English is very useful, if not absolutely necessary, to be able to go abroad. There must be English proficiency classes there in China, right? I suggest you go and enroll in one of their classes.

Next, find someone, an American, Englishman, or someone who speaks good English, and befriend him (or her). This way you can practice your spoken English. For written English, stay with CR4 .
