A Machine to Clean and Process Soy

04/08/2008 3:06 PM

I'm looking for a device which can clean soy. I'm a cameroonian.

The waste are: dry soy skin, sand and stones.

The device must entirely be a mechanic one

could I have some technologic solutions for each waste?

This would probably have been better posted in the Sustainable Engineering section.

Are you looking for something to separate the soy from the waste, separate the waste into components, process the separated components, or all of it?

At the beginning, I must put a melt of soy and waste.

At the end, I must have soy and waste separated

So, I just want to separate the soy from the waste.

I need a scientific principle and some technologic, especially mechanic solutions.

The energy used is electric, at the beginning (e.g: an electric motor must give the movements to the mechanic parts)

Auger the soy through and elevated pipe then dump into a bin; as the soy falls cause a stiff breeze to blow away fines, chaff etc..

Do dry soy skins float in water?

Air is used to blow chaff from grain. Will remove the soil if not in large chunks.

Large chunks of earth and stones washed out.

That would be a fanning mill and a cyclone, now to separate soy and the stones usually use a destoner, Its like a hopper with a vertical auger, unfortunately its done with water(used in vegetables)

Google destoner.

Coffee roasters deal with similar problems.

They pour the coffee beans into a hopper and 'vacuum' the coffee beans out, usually into hoppers which feed the roasters. This is a 'destoning' process, but I think that it would also eliminate the sand.

Even if it didn't, it would only require a small modification to do so.

This machinery is made by French Oil Mill, Andritz, Buhler, and a great many others.

Satake makes equipment capable of this sort of separation.
