where to obtain a maintenance manual on a soda pop vending machine (c. 1965)

It got to have a manufacturer's label on it someplace. Usually inside on the door or on the back. They would be your best bet at getting a manual for it.

There is a metal nameplate on either the left or right side. it will give you all the info. I used to be a vending mechanic for coca cola. You don't state what kind of problem you are having. When I worked for Coke I would work on the side for people that owned their machines. Maybe you can get a vending mechanic in your area to stop by and look at your machine

Once you find the brand and model number you can search for the info you need.

This gentleman has been collecting data on vending machines for many years and will sell a DVD containing many service manuals, operation manuals, programming manuals, and parts lists from most vending companies in most countries. The DVD is very modestly priced and worth every penny:

This company has most manuals, parts, supplies, etc. Can search by brand, model, type, etc. Great website with excellent results:
