IN 'ANSI' / 'ASME' PIPE SIZE IS GIVEN IN PSI-PRESSURE RATING-SCHDUL NO.FOR EXAM. 2" -150 lbs.(#)- SCH. STD/40. HERE 2" IS NOMINAL SIZE , OUT SIDE DIA IS 2.375"(60.325mm),PRESSURE RATING IS 150 POUND ie.150POUND/SQ.INCH SCH NO. IS WALTHICKNESS.

VDD, you are partially correct. PN rating refers to particular temperature and you need to refer the charts/ graphs to know pressure rating at your application temperature.
