selecting actuators and sensors

05/18/2008 1:50 PM

greetings!!

i have to select components (actuators and sensors) for a control system .

it is such that im provided with desired output speed of plant ,input power to the plant and input power of actuator.

the actuator is of electromechanical nature.

google search engine contains variety of such components but i need such a silutio that is of commercial nature, low_cost and effecient

so please tell me suitable links or offer any othe help in this regard.

thanx

Why have you posted the same question twice?

Very irritating. But you are not alone!!!

What sort of sensors - temperature, pressure, level, analytical?

What sort of actuators - pneumatic, 24VDC, 110VAC, 240VAC, 440V 3Ø AC?

What sort of actuated devices - stepping motors, valves, HVAC dampers?

sensors should sense the ouput speed of plant that is between 100_1000rpm and should generate an equivalent voltage to this speed.

actuators have to be electromechanical and such that they can transform 10mw input power into 10 kw power at thier output(could be ac or dc).

actuating devices could be both ac motor or dcmotor.

please suggest me suitable links from where i can select or choose such components meeting the requirement of cost effectiveness and effeciency by the the same time.(they have to be commercial in nature).

Why didn't you try to find out what you need just at www.globalspec.com? Not at forum. Yes it can take a some time but I (last year) could find practically all what I was charged by my employer being restricted in time, prices, locations where to place the order and other parameters.

good luck
