Auto drain trap

Can you tell me thw working principle of auto drain trap?

Is it working in mechanical mode or timerbased mode?

A1: It works by the presence of liquid operating a mechanism that expels that liquid from the system.

it is based on same mechanism of filling toilet flash water tank. it has arm with buoy which cause evacuation when the fluid level become high.

Usually it's a simple floatation device. When the water level is high enough, the float rises, opening the valve to drain the trap.
