Hobby solar cells are available from a number of on-line outlets, including RS, Farnell and Maplin (usual disclaimer) at easy-to-afford prices.

You can get cheap solar powered lights and such like from the cheapo catalogues ..they can be canibalised for parts. I have one in my garden shed...completely useless as I don't do gardening at night!

What sort of projects? can we all play?

Solar energy circuits are merely electrical/electronic circuits. Specifically, what did you have in mind?

Look here (All Electronics) for surplus solar cells, etc.
