Hammond “Old Transformer” Specifications

05/28/2008 10:45 PM

There are at least two obsolete Hammond transformer number systems. Having some of the old transformers with these numbers, I have tried to get specifications from Hammond. There has been absolutely no cooperation.
Information leading to the capture of such information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for considering the above.

Yours sincerely,

Walter Lindenbach.

Hello lindenbachw@shaw.ca

Have you tried: Hammond Museum of Radio

They may be able to assist.

You should be able to obtain the information direct from the Makers: http://www.hammondmfg.com/tech.htm

Advise your progress, or lack of progress, with

Kind Regards....

Hi, lindenbachw@shaw.ca!

Welcome to CR4!

There are quite a few Hammond owners in this blog-site. We hope you stick around to enjoy the other stuff we do in here as well.

If you post the numbers you already have, I'll be glad to look at my Hammond to see if any of them match.

Mark

I'm mystefied as to why they are unhelpful. They have always been courteous and prompt with me.

There are 3 sources at Hammond to draw on - the main contact in Guelph, also try Hammond Power Solutions - they looked after the really old stuff.

Also, for wierd items, some of the records have been more forthcoming from the Buffalo NY branch.

Right now I am trying to track down the 797 series (proprietary numbering for Sceptre Amplifiers c+/- 1970)

Good Hunting
