Well at some point it is worth sending them another way, like train, ship or road tanker.

chintunimmagadda,

Could you please be a little more specific with your question.

So far, what you have asked amounts to "How high is up"?

With more information I am sure someone here can offer you some advice.

If the issue is storage of pipe, then I would ask you to consider the weight per square meter of the racks when fully loaded compared to the floor's and soil beneath the floor's capacity to bear the load.

I had a stacker rack system for bars (I know, pipe has a hole so is lighter, Yeah Yeah yeah) that was bolted into a reinforced floor of .4 meter thick concrete.

The floor in shipping was only .2 meter thick concrete and less reinforcement, and no loading except trucks in and out.

The weight of material on racks caused the soil to compress and the floor dropped. where the shipping floor met the rack floor, we developed an edge of 20mm vertical distance or so which cut the hell out of the solid tires (tyres) of our sideloaders. So we had to grind this edge down ever couple of years.

Just a thought.

All pipe racks should run completely from one end to the other end without interruption, unless piping is interrupted between ends.
