HT CABLE TERMINATION IN SWITCH GEAR PANEL

Well good after noon to all

My question is

I am an electrical associate engineer. and much found of HT CABLE TERMINATION

so any body explain the procedure thoroughly for my knowledge

I KNOW VERY WELL XLPE CABLES BUT DONOT KNOW THE PROCEDURE OF TERMINATION

PLEASE EXPLAIN THE PROCEDURE TO TERMINATE A SINGLE CORE CABLE OF 66KV IN THE SWITCH GEAR PANEL

I WILL BE VERY GREATFUL TO ALL

When you buy the termination kit, it will have all the information you need to make the termination! There are lots of different kits and each one may be slightly different! You need to follow their specific instructions, It's as simple as that! There are also specialist tools to remove the different insulators! Be careful not to damage the separate layers. The little score marks from a knife are the playground of an electrical failure when terminating HT cables!

Dear friend..

Though you know the procedure of cable termination, you are not allowed to perform with out license from the concerned authority especially for MV, HV&EHV. Here, you know about cable but don't have practical experience in cable splicing. So, get experience and license prior to perform. Because, electricity is an unseen power which can destroy anything.
