Just select one from the Screwfix catalogue (usual disclaimer).

It will depend on the regulation by the relevant building authority. For enclosed bathrooms (toilets), it should be mechanical ventilated. Typically it is 10 air change minimum by volume per hour is required, exhaust only, no recycle air. I suggest higher air change if there is lots of lightings especially halogen lamps that will warm up the place.

Hello Rajiv,

How big is your toilet? Do you have an outside wall as part of your toilet! Is this your domestic toilet? Would one of these suit your needs?

There are many codes and considerations. 7-10 changes per hour as suggested above is a good guideline. In the US one organization has recommendations The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA). They also consider the area, humidity, and other things.

Per table 403.3 in the 2006 International Mechanical Code: 75 CFM per water closet or urinal.

Hi Rajiv, Accoding to a local doctor here a human will pass gas on average 11 times a day. So 24hours /11= 2.8 and then 2.8 times 3 = 8.4., 8.4 times an hour for every 8 hours worked the air in the restroom will need the fan to remove the odear from the restroom. Now excatly how much each one of the human bodies releases and how ,ong the fan will need to run ot the amount of air being move I could not say.

I just thought it was a weird fact the doctor gave the old lady when she had a stomach problem.
