These kind of questions remind me of my job interview several years ago.

During the interview, the human resource personnel asked me this cliche:

"How do you see yourself 5 years from now?"

and I answered "5 years from now, when I reach the top of the corporate ladder, I will fire you for asking this stupid question."

I didn't get the job, but at least I don't have to deal with these pathetic people.

I guess you should tell your boss the same thing. Bye the way, get a real job.

While the terms capacity & capability are easy to determine when referring to ones own business, the question is how to measure these properties. I suppose capacity is measured as to one's percentage of the market, If you had a business, how much would you invest in expansion? And if you where to measure capability, then consider, if you had invested in capital expansion, would you be capable of competing successfully with other businesses. So to answer the question how would you measure capacity & capability, I would say you would have to engage a market analyst, and go from there? Then again capacity may be ones abilty to answer the question, and capability ones ability to give the right answer?

Dinesh.ar,

I hope my post does not come across as too negative, as it is meant sincerely and with an ultimate desire to provide you with some helpful advice.

First, I've just finished reading every post you've made to this forum. The main things I noticed were:

Almost all of your questions, as originally asked, are impossible to answer due to lack of detail. You must remember, the members of this forum as spread all across the world and work in a plethora of different industries. And most importantly, we are not mind readers. We are not standing next to you, we don't see what you see.

The other thing I've noticed, I've decided not to elaborate on directly because it would come across as totally negative, which I really don't want to be.

But, indirectly, at least 4 times a year we get a costumer who's in trouble because they decided to buy some critical parts based on price from manufactures that either didn't have a high level of competency, or that did but cut too many corners for financial reasons.

In closing, there are many jobs out there that when things aren't made right... people get hurt... people die.
