How to Measure the Air Consumption of Pnuematic Control Valve, or pnuematic Cylinder. is there any calculation.

please anybody give the suggession.

Hello,

As per Std pratice Its not necessary for measuring the air Flow going to Instrument(Final Element).

However if You are interested for Sizing Air Compressor- Requirements You may refer

PIP PCCIA001, Which states air consumption shall be 2 SCFM/Device with Operating

pressure OF 4.1 Barg .

The device manufacturer can give you these details. Sometimes they will give the information in the device's data sheet.

The figure is also dependent on how frequently the device operates.
