What is formula to determine insulation resistance of an elctric motor when Voltage and current is given.

It is determined by testing, not by calculation, and the voltage and current information is not relevant.

The Formula used is the basic "Ohms Law", just the same "Ohms Law" as always.

IR=Klog(D/d) x L/1000

k=2000 for PVC

=50,000 for EPR

=100,000 for XLPE

D=dia. over insulation

d= dia. under insulation

L=lenght of wire
