Many are doing their best, in spite of the many difficulties which lie ahead.

It is not really energy conservation which is needed.

What is really needed are better and more efficient means of energy in usable forms, at the actual location where that energy is required at the time, such making, storage and useage of such energy to have minimal environmental impact, both short and long term.

That's the main problem.

There is a wealth of available information available.

There are many who would dearly like to achieve the good results.

Lack of funds would be a major concern - after all, I cannot be the only person who is limited in design and manufacture by funding lack, can I.

Central Government thinks big, and subsidizes at taxpayer expense huge mechanical monsters, which will prove to be expensive white elephants in a few short years.

The energy needs to be captured on a small and many locations basis, including mobile basis - to minimise transmission and other losses, but then Big Government cannot control it, so they give no subsidies or funds to the small type installations.

The historic and still present problem with solar cells, is the degradation or "poisoning" of the atomic bonds by photon damage.

I made two different investments in solar cell systems, and each time, after a few short years, output dropped off so the efficiency of the installations became poor.

There is presently talk of "organic solar cells", and that may come to pass.

The most efficient solar cell technology is that of the chlorophyll molecule inside plants, and the conversion to sugars from the CO₂ in the air.

You've just got to admire the creation of such a good eco-friendly plant system.

Likewise without animal life, Kyoto Protocols and such idiocies notwithstanding, fart taxes ad nauseum, there could be no plants either.
