sannyseg,

Sounds like homework to me. A model is a mathematical or other method for replicating and predicting the real world performance of the thing being studied. A good example is a scale model of the San Francisco Bay and Delta region, used to predict the effects of various changes in water flow, salinity, construction, etc. Models are based on data and then can be tested to see if they confrom to this data and can reliably predict future data. As with any scientific process they are a form of hypothesis/experiment/analysis of results.

As the previous post said, get busy. Determine the variables, such as time of day, traffic density, visibility, weather conditions, or whatever you are studying. Then make some assumptions, and collect data. Data on accident rates should be easy to obtain from law enforcement agencies. They may be interested in helping you to understand and model the parameters.

I have driven on the interstate highways of South Florida for over thirty years. In all of the accidents that I have witnessed, or driven to after the fact, none of the vehicles have been models. All have been full sized vehicles. I hope this is of some help to you.

PS One of the drivers claimed to be a model, But if she had been a model, it was a long time ago.

You won't find any chimps at the wheel, either--although I understand George W. Bush was in a couple accidents during his misspent youth--would he qualify as an statistical anomaly?
