b. Sticking tiles on the walls of bath room

c. Sticking wall papers on the walls after making smooth nice.

Thanks in advance

Your name is Indian, but I am unable to discern your country location. If you are in India the condition prevailing here make it almost impossible to attempt the kind of renovation you are attempting all by your self, not the kind of things you could possibly do in advanced West. It is the job for the professionals.

I belong to these two Yahoo groups. They are both how to do it yourself groups.

Check them out if you like. None of the items you ask about are difficult to do just takes some practice.

I want to comment regarding your plan to renovate an old house. With the age of nearly 50 y/o, do you think the structure is still enough to carry loads? Besides, this is your house, not for the others. So, I suggest if you have enough budget, you better build a new one. But if not, then no choice... to renovate the house and bring to a risky situation for your own family.

it depends on the maintainence standard practiced its is possible for the structure to take load as he is not going to add new structure but just give new face life.

Do you hear yourself?

What would any major city look like if someone was to decide it was not safe to renovate structures over 50 years old?

Personally I trust the structure of an OLD 50-100 year old house more than I do todays houses. My old 1913 (95 years old) house has wood in it so hard you can't drive a nail into it without first drilling a pilot hole. And its actually built to 16" c/c standards unlike todays houses where the wall studs vary so much that you're lucky if you can find a stud every 16" to 24". I doubt if the houses built today will even last 100 years.
