dp level transmitter

11/04/2008 5:13 AM

dear all,

we use a dp level transmitter to measure level in a closed tank cosist of water....the tank is always under vacuum...before a week ago I noticed that both sides of level transmitter are exposed to vacuum.

is there any way to measure the level of tank by DP transmitter under vacuum.

notes:

the pump is always runing from the bottom of tank to feed water to other areas and the tank is always supplied by water from procees.

regards,

murthe

Well, yes, with a dptx both sides will be exposed to vacuum. There is no getting round this.

As an alternative, if the dptx is unsuitable, consider radar as a measuring technique.
