A 52Y anti-pump relay is in electrically operated circuit breakers and it stops a close-open-close "pumping" situation if the breaker close signal is continuously held on when the breaker is kicked open.

A pumping breaker can cause a pretty good adrenaline shot, especially if it's part of a paralleling system and shoots off puffs of green smoke every time it hits.

apart from above anti pump relaY PREVENTS continous power feeding to closeing coil in the absence of this realy closing coil will wil burn( because of short time rating of coil)
