Have you tried doing a Google search? You might try using the term 'power' instead of 'energy,' as in 'active power,' 'reactive power' and so forth. The modifiers 'active' etc. make little sense when applied to energy as such, but they make a lot of sense when applied to power.

Are you asking what the difference is between "True" and "Apparant" power?

I am actively replying, in a reactionary way with an apparent reply. You need to be more specific other wise all means nothing. Translating energy to power ends up in the same department. What is it you need to know? Or better, in which realm of science should this be resolved? Sorry for not getting the drift, Ky.

TextBook do students buy them anymore ; they seem to think it is the instructor who should ah spoon feed them the information and if they don't get it it is the responsibility of everyone else to find a way for them to have this knowledge conveyed to them.

There is an explanation in Wikipedia (usual disclaimer) among many other on-line resources.
