horse trailler registration

i'm trying to buy a ww stock trailler located in TN ,the owner don't have a title but can provide a bill of sale , somebody told me that it won't be registered in GA because it's over 2000lbs . i have no idea where come the 2000 lbs from !

please if anybody familiar with this to help me i'm living tomorrow 5 am to get it. thanks and god bless...

In SA you would need a road worthy certificate, registration and a valid licence if ever taken onto the road.

Contact the authorities.

Each state has its own regulations on the titling and registering trailers. To reduce cost to the farmer a lot of this type of equipment does not need to be titled and registered. Farm tags are used.

If you have a bill of sale you should be able to get a title made. Insure that the bill of sale has the VIN number on it.

As far as registering it in GA due to a 2000 lb restriction. The weight of one horse and the trailer would go over this restriction. Unless the state has outlawed farming how would the farmer move livestock around. Or the race horses, show horses, the states children's prized animals to 4H shows, etc
