vacuum type dp transmitter calibration

sir , i want to calibrate my dp transmitter on -1 bar.

i have no vacuum pump. can any aternate method to calibration.

if i give 1 bar pressure on LP side and open HP to atmosphere?

In most vaccum applications the LP side is connected to the process and the HP side is open to atmosphere which means you will need to apply 1 bar to the HP side and open the LP side to atmosphere in order to do a calibration.

Technically, yes, if you have a dp transmitter your method will produce a dp transmitter that is calibrated to -1 barg.That is, your -1 bar is referenced to gauge pressure which is atmospheric pressure.

If you need absolute pressure, it gets a little more involved.

It is correct, you apply 1bar pressure to LP side and open HP to atmosphere to calibrate transmitter with rang below zero.
