magnetizing and moving of elements????

Hello is there any way to magnetize and move a mild steel plate of 3m length and 50x500 cross section using the magnetizing and demagnetizing property? please suggest ideas

  • Electromagents are used in scrap metal yards to move steel around using a crane.
