transfer from autocad to 3D Max 5

how can i use an autocad file in the 3D-Max 5 programme ?

I know it can be done, because I have created 3D models in Mechanical Desktop that a colleague used to make a make a flyaround in 3DS Max. MDT is a program that sits on top of AutoCAD Mechanical, and it saves files in the .dwg format.

I'm not sure how to bring in the .dwg files. Probably go to File > Import.

You might also post this question in the AUGI forums or the Autodesk Discussion Groups.

yes of cause.

you can use import to do so.
