Wanted: Plastic Part for Metal Frame

03/16/2009 8:38 AM

Does anyone here know where I can find this part for my shed? Its used to keep the plastic panels attached to the metal frame.I tried searching global spec for plastic rivet & nylon rivet but came up blank. I don't know the sheds manufacturer or I'd try contacting them.

Never Mind I think I found a site with the parts I need.

Those are the same very similar to the plastic rivets used to hold fender skirts on cars. Also the splash guards under hood on my truck. Try carrying one, even broken, into a body shop or body shop supplier.

Thanks for the info. Right after I posted I did another search and came up with the same sites as you did. I also found a Body Shop supplier right around the corner that will probably have them. I plan on stopping there tonight after work.

I still can't figer out why my 1st search came up blank though. Must have typed something really weird because it came up completely blank as far as plastic rivets went.

Surprisingly, Lowe's has these too, in a wide variety, even categorized according to the car brand on which they are used. What next -- 2x4's at NAPA?

My Lowes has only a few types and none in the size I need.

I practically live at Lowes. Most of the people there know me by name and if I don't show up far a day or to send me get well cards.

Hey I really like the Screw type 113 that Skiffy has. I may order a bunch of them. Sometimes the push in ones dont hold to well in the spring winds storms we have. Thanks for the link.
