	The sample rate is an important parameter for sound card compatibility. Check your music software for information about the sample rate. Check the sample rate of the sound cards you're considering. __________________ incus opella

	Hello nvmani; Start by going to the motherboard and recording software manufacturers website and determine their recommendation's, what limiting factors etc.. What type hardware is in your computer? Make/Model of motherboard, memory, hard drive, how many what type capacity and bandwidth, and what are the spec's of the power supply. Recording venue type? Analog or digital signal etc.. These specifications will help, write back... __________________ If death came with a warning there would be a whole lot less of it.

	Depends on what you want to record. Are you starting a studio, you can spend alot of money on a multi-track digital recording sound card. Just want to record your children saying "Good Morning Daddy!" so that you can hear them everytime you boot up? A basic $29 card will do.
