the 7870 may be correct.

If 7870 is divided by pi you get 2505 which is only 15 mm smaller than 2520.

What is the thickness of your material?

Is the 2520 inside or outside diam of the tank?

If the plate thickness >= 30mm then correct. However no allowance will be there.

As hendrik has correctly calculated - the diffce is 14.90mm

The rolling (mid point) diameter for this plate will be 2505mm and thus a 30mm plate will just get the OD of 2520 but not the ID.

Yes they do, on OD and the ID is under compression.

I would add an extra 2% to the length dimension. You can cut the length off allot easier than you can weld a piece on after you get in the field.

Depending on the type of roller you are using, you may need to allow for the "initial pinch" flat spot that results from getting the sheet started into the roller assembly. As the previous poster pointed out, it is easier to trim than add.
