FIC Flow controler

TIC Temperature controler.

Hi there,

The drawing is a bit small. From what I can see.

It looks as if the pressure is cascaded to the temperature. This means that the Temperature loop is the master with the pressure controlling the valve. i.e. The TIC output will give a setpoint to the PIC.

It also looks as if you can use the FIC to control the valve directly if you want to control flow. But from the drawing the FIC would not be cascaded back to the TIC.

Regards,

Craig

There should be a description in a document entitled, "Process Description", or similar.

hi Raj what i see is that the temperature controller is the master and pressure controller is the slave and the special feature of PIC block that it can either select PT as input or FIC block when FIC is selected than it is 3 loop control go through the PIC block function in DCS manual regards adil
