Consult the manufacturer.

Hi there,

Maglow and steam measurement - No.

Maflows only work with conductive fluids. Pure substances, hydrocarbons and gasses cannot be measured.

Turbine meter and steam measurement - Yes.

This would be dependant on the turbine meter type. You would have to consult the manual as there is a difference between a liquid turbine meter and a gas turbine meter. This is because the driving tourque of a gas is much lower than that of a liquid.

Regards,

Craig

As magnetic flowmeters depend upon having an electrically conductive fluid for their application, and steam is not electrically conductive, the answer is no, it won't work.

Vortex shedding flowmeters are well worth looking at for steam.

hi harsh , For steam application go for orifice meter or vortex meter as both sustains to steam behavior in pipe line . I doubt whether turbine meter will be able to sustain water hammering. regards
