Running your car on water

05/16/2009 1:53 PM

What's the final say on this: Run your car on water ? A friend of mine bought it and swears he's getting much better milage, but I have some serious doubts myself. As for running your car on water, I like these better:

I thought we'd had the final say on this about 20 times already...?
I want to go home...

OK, sometimes we think ideas are revolutionary, but if you do a quick check of:

"Search this Forum"

You will find a lot of answers. It doesn't give you any keyboard time with the group, though.

No anticipation of that next post.

At least, your questions are understandable, unlike sooo many we get.

Stick around, you'll see.

Thanks. I tried the 'search' thing and apparently this subject has been very thoroughly discussed. Makes you wonder how stuff like this can go on national TV and make a bunch of money. Like the Cash4Gold scam. A single mother I know had her mother's jewelery appraised for over $1,100, but the jewelry store didn't want to buy it. So, she put it in an envelope and sent it to Cash4Gold, got an offer for $53, and when she tried to get it returned they told her it had already been melted. And then there was this friend of mine that ordered a device 'guaranteed to improve gas milage by 25%'. When he got it, it was a block of wood you put under the gas pedal...

Oh, I see... by the way, this should not be what your friend was expecting, but I'm pretty sure that your fuel milleage will improve if you step less.

Hi route89

Some of your posts almost / did receive negative comments from me but then I realized you are a typical mischievous poster that intends to shock.

Unfortunately most of the addicted members here don't always have the time to read or look at the complete post and you must expect some hammering.

There are a lot of misinformation around us and gullible people will be caught / conned. It is not a new thing either, I have articles by reputable people showing lack of knowledge in the not so far past.

Regarding running "floating" on water - your 54 bug may have been able to do it. I saw pictures in a 196x Popular Mechanics of a beetle floating on water. They used a snorkel to supply air to the engine.
