Lifting an Object in Vaccum Chamber by Indusing High Pressure Gas Thru Nozzles

05/18/2009 7:20 AM

Hi,

I will first explain what am i trying to invent. A circular thin plate is placed on a chuck in an vaccum chamber (10 -4 torrr) . Can somebody guide how to lift this plate by blowing high pressure gas or air thru precised nozzles.

Appreciate your replies.

Are you planning to evacuate the gas at at least the same rate that you plan to inject it to maintain the stated vacuum?

How much does the circular thin plate weigh? What's its area that you plan to blow against?

Reader confusion will arise if the nature of the use of high pressure gas is not balanced with the need to maintain a vacuum at 10-4 torr; these two things are not immediately compatible.
