Dear sir,

Can i use 110VAC coil for contactor designed for 220VAC coil ? or will it cause chattering while closing and openning of contacts.

No. It is unlikely to even pull in the contacts. Check the datasheets of the contactor for minimum pickup and operation voltages.

You can, provided these contactor remain same for different voltage coils as manufacture recommendation.

Coil size and fitment is ok

no chattering occurs

You can, but provided that your contactors are design for such coil changes. We always change our contactor coil from 110V to 220V. Our contactor and the contactor coil are standard design.

contactor; go to the contactor rep or sales center and ask for a 120 volt coil to work for your contactor, many manufactures make a 110 volt 50 HZ/120 volt/60 HZ, 208 volt, 240 volt , 277, 415, 460, 480, 600 volt coils to work in their contractors. perry

So long as the supply voltage and the coil voltage are the same, there shouldn't be any issue.
