Computer Orchestra Plays 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

05/27/2009 10:58 AM

Love computers and Queen music? Me too! Check out this video I found at NextNature.net of a computer orchestra rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody.

From the site:

Technology meets art: An Atari 800XL was used for the lead piano/organ sound; Texas Instruments TI-99/4a as lead guitar; 8 Inch Floppy Disk as Bass; 3.5 inch Harddrive as the gong; HP ScanJet 3C was used for all vocals.

The buzzing and thumping sound you hear is Freddy Mercury spinning in his grave.

But it did remind me to go rip some tracks off my Queen albums to my laptop to keep me entertained and occupied at work. Until then I'll just have to content my self with the Georgia Satellites, Pat Benatar, Dire Straights and Commander Cody & the Lost Planet Airmen.

While I don't much appreciate this version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" I do appreciate the effort that went into making it! Maybe the next version will be better. ;-)

While I am impressed with the programming skills, they may want to try next Styx's "To Much Time On My Hands". LOL...

If they follow that up with "You Can't Always Get What You Want," then they'll have Styx and Stones!
