Amazing Cell Phone

yep... I have a samsung sway that went for a nice long swim in the pool. Couple of days in a bowl of white rice, and a quick bath in some isopropyl alchol and all was well...

Then again just last weekend (saturday) while rafting, my dry-bag became a very wet bag...

lucky for me my phone wasn't double bagged, so I got the pleasure of drying/bathing it once again, and just yesterday after sufficient dry time, I turned it back on and all is well once more.

For underwater cell phones Smasung has new different model whose advt. I have seen recently on T.V.

but IMO, they should just call this WATERPROOF cell phone and not underwater, because it can't be used underwater anyway. unlike watches and cameras which do not lose any of its functionality even when submerged.

I'm intrigued how they could seal the speaker, mic and other ports in this device, to prevent water from seeping in.

The big mistake most people make is to do nothing. I know a guy who dropped his in the toilet. A day on the dash board of his truck in the sun and it was good as new.

Washing machine and dryer cycles are not what they used to be, one time I discovered a scholopendrae that went thru both and when picking my clothes still tried to bite me!!! (son of a bitch).

The units are also sealed along the plastic edges - top, bottom and screen, so there is very little space for air, moisture or dust to get in = dust resistant for a year or three of service.
