What's the "B" in a 7302BDF Bearing?

I know DF(face-to-face duplex)but what is B in 7302BDF?

I've seen it written "Bearing Duplex Face-to-Face" on specs but cannot recall ever reading it in catalogues or on web sites.

My Consolidated catalog shows a suffix of B as noting a 40° angle of contact on 7200, 7300, 7400 series.

You might need to chase it by the specific brand you are using. this book doesn't show the DF or even D

Hi,

BD is back to back arrangement,

BF is face to face,

so I asssume that BDF allows you for both.

Axial surfaces shall be both within 1 to 3 µm parallel to the raceway and that may cost some $ more than if only one.

I prefer the superb bearings from GMN, Germany if spindle bearing quality is necessary as here. Have a look to their catalogue, you will find a lot of useful information.

suffix B is the standard contact angle for 7000 series angular contact ball bearings = 40 degrees
