Strange Rings Seen Following Major Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions
"Reports of strange concentric rings seen radiating from a common point are becoming increasingly common immediately following a major earthquake or volcanic eruption," said puzzled UCLA geophysicist Roberta Garlough.
"We at first ascribed these reports as being little more than rumors borne of mass hysteria," she said, "but then we noticed that the majority of them came from places nowhere near the epicenter and, in most cases, from thousands of kilometers away. This certainly rules out hysteria."
Garlough went on to say that "People are evidently seeing something - the reports are highly consistent, unusually so in fact - but we simply don't know what that something is. It could be anything; possibly some kind of previously undiscovered natural phenomenon that, for some reason, is now making itself apparent. We don't know for sure. But we can tell you something unusual is definitely going on. Millions of people all over the world have witnessed it firsthand."
