The manufacturer's instruction manual, which will contain among other useful information the telephone number of their technical helpline.

PWS's answer, while posted "tongue in cheek", it is none the less the correct answer. In the Woodward manuals are the set up procedures for the system. Run through the set up procedure from the start and you will probably find you will cure the problem. The presets often get "tweaked" by A.N. Other, (nobody will ever admit to it) and eventually it wll not syncronize.

regards

Chas

Increase the generator frequency above bus frequency by 0.05 Hz and then go online.

find where L1 and L2 from the generator go to a two-pole breaker and swap them there.

What Woodward controller are you talking about? Is it the governor, synchronizer or load-share? If all was working well then you seem to have a case of fuel starvation, resulting in the unit not accepting the close-breaker load as a minimum. Look at the fuel system (fuel lines, links, filters, etc). This is based on the assumption that this is a recent problem.

If new installation, check your configuration both hardware and software.

I also work in the oilfield as a project manager and am both a mechanic and an electrician. Check all your leads to your AC module first. I have seen loose slip-on blade connectors cause this problem and if the feed lines have been remove, check for correct phasing. Have you attempted to put this gen-set online by itself or are the others running and connected to the bus-bar? If the others are running, disconnect them, attempt to place it online by itself and check the rotation of an AC blower motor. note: Do not try this on a Mission Magnum pump because reverse rotation will un spin the shaft and you will have to replace couplers, shafts and impellers. I know this, don't ask me how.

Phase differences between two gen sets must be very close or it will trip off line. A bad AC module could be the problem. Move a known good AC module in that bay and try it. Check all of the above first and if changing the AC module works, place the one in question back in the other bay and try it... I know it sounds stupid but I have seen them not work in one bay but work just fine in another.

Yea, NOV got to replace both trip tank pumps on a brand new Ideal rig because they got the phasing wrong. Mission pumps don't like to turn backwards.

This could be as a simple as a clogged fuel filter. Low fuel pressure would not allow the engine to pickup load when in parallel with another source.

Let me share idea for this Forum. First You should checking your generator by electrical test in function Insulation resistance test, R-L-C Test, Hi-pot test (if possible). And then you can make sure before you start again by visual inspection generator part inside.
