Looking for a suitable water-brake or eddy current dynamometer

Hi all,

Does anyone know of manufacturer/suppliers of dyanmometers that are suitable for load testing small diesel engines - 2kVA to 6kVA?

You could try SAJ Private Ltd.,Manufacturers of Dynamometers (Hydro & Eddy), PUNE, Maharashtra, INDIA

It's been some years since I was in touch with them; I do not have the exact postal address. I will look up google and advise you do the same please. I do know that they make good quality systems as per my experience.

Since you quote the engines in kVA i suppose you are dealing with small generators. Why do you not just build a simple resistive load bank from cheap room heaters (1kW) and halogen flood lamps (typically 300 or 500W)? Alternatively use water heater elements.
